Welcome to GACX Forum 2022. What a great joy it is to be together to celebrate what God has been doing through our alliance, discover new collaborative opportunities, and look with anticipation toward the future! In addition to the hundreds of co-laborers gathered here in Minneapolis, we will be joined virtually by brothers and sisters from over 100 countries around the world.

We are here for one simple reason: that our shared vision of one healthy and multiplying church for every 1,000 people on earth is bigger than anything we can accomplish individually. We must link arms and labor together in total dependence upon God.

This year’s theme, “Beyond,” is inspired by Ephesians 3:20-21 (ESV). “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…”

Think about this: no matter how grand our dreams, or how faithfully fervent our prayer – God can do “beyond” our limited imagination and humble requests. How? By His power at work within us!

This passage continues: “to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Why will God do more? For His glory. Every disciple made, every church started, every leader equipped for service – through multiple spiritual generations – glorifies God.

So in these next few days, let’s dream big. Let’s pray boldly. And together, let’s trust God for more, beyond what we can imagine. For the sake of the billions still needing Jesus and the glory of our God.

Curtis Sergeant runs a disciple-making and missions training center called MetaCamp in Dadeville, Alabama. He is also a co-facilitator of the 24:14 coalition, serves on the leadership team for Finishing the Task, and founded the Zúme project. He has years of experience in ministering, training up leaders, and church planting among unreached people groups in China and India through his work with the International Mission Board and other church planting efforts.

Larisa is the Director of Partnerships at Renew World Outreach. Renew develops technology and digital strategies to accelerate the Great Commission. She is passionate about how we can reach the most unreached people with the gospel. In her role, she travels, speaks, and connects with like-minded leaders and organizations. After working for over a decade as a designer and photographer, she found her true passion and calling in ministry.

Lifeway Mission International
Aila Tasse, a Muslim background believer, is the founder and president of Lifeway Mission International (LMI), an indigenous mission organization that works among unreached people groups in East and Horn of Africa. He also serves as East Africa Regional Director for New Generations. Aila is passionate about his work mentoring DMM leaders, especially those throughout 14 East African countries ranging from Sudan to Malawi, and also leads DMM trainings around the world. He is married to Tiru and has two sons and a daughter.

Africa Inland Mission
John Becker has been serving Muslim peoples in Africa, Europe, and North America for the past 25 years and is passionate about launching collaborative missional efforts. Before that, he served for 10 years as the International Coordinator of the Vision 5:9 Network. John takes great joy in sharing the love of Jesus with people of other faiths and currently lives in California with his wife and four children.

Kenny is an indigenous disciple maker from the island nation of Mauritius and currently lives there with his wife Friedan and their two sons. They are engaging the lost and making disciples that make disciples in Mauritius and throughout the whole of Africa and also across Europe.

Rajesh Malaki serves as the lead pastor of Full Gospel Church, Jaipur. He is also Catalyst, Coach, and Regional Director of GACX South Asia for developing Strategic Missional Networks and partnerships to advance the progress of the Gospel among the unreached peoples of the world. He is married to Olive and has been blessed with two children, Anugrah & Aradhana.

John Mayer has over 35 years of professional research, consulting, and strategy experience with over 1600 churches and ministries. He’s worked in the area of church planting with hundreds of churches and consulted globally with missions organizations in the areas of strategy, research, and city-reaching. John authored the CityView Report book (updated and expanded into 17 editions since 1996) along with several other published papers and articles.

J.D. Payne serves as professor of Christian Ministry at Samford University. Prior to this, he was the pastor for church multiplication with The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, AL. Before that, he served with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and as an Associate Professor of Church Planting and Evangelism at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he also directed the Center for North American Missions and Church Planting.

Bekele leads Cru’s efforts to build movements of multiplying churches and faith communities worldwide. A native of Ethiopia, he has served as Cru’s National Director of Ethiopia and Regional Director of Southern and Eastern Africa. Bekele is the President of GACX and leads the church planting focus for Finishing the Task. He and his wife Shewa live in Orlando, Florida and have four children.

Greg Stier is an evangelist, author, speaker, and founder of Dare 2 Share Ministries. A champion for unleashing this generation with the Gospel, Greg has trained and equipped countless teens and youth leaders worldwide to share the Gospel and build youth ministries that advance the Kingdom. Greg is a former pastor, church planter, and youth leader as well as the author of numerous books, including Unlikely Fighter: The Story of How a Fatherless Street Kid Overcame Violence, Chaos, and Confusion to Become a Radical Christ Follower.

Bethany
Dan Brokke recently stepped aside as Bethany’s President & CEO (2006-2022) to focus on Ministry Partnership Development. Dan’s passion is to see new generations worldwide mobilized to make disciples among unreached peoples and places. Bethany has church planting teams working among 558 unreached people groups in 70 countries multiplying disciple-making movements. He and his wife Dona live in Bloomington, MN and have four grown children and nine grandchildren.

New Generations
Harry Brown is the President of New Generations and serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to founding New Generations, Harry was responsible for launching the church planting division for CityTeam International in 1996. He helped CityTeam re-envision around movements in 2005 and shepherded the vision over the next 12 years to see indigenous leaders catalyzed in 120 movements, encompassing 50k new churches and over 1.5 million new disciples.

Kamal Khlaif has been in full time ministry, alongside his wife Randa, since 1985. He was led to Christ in a Jordanian nightclub by a staff member from Life Agape. After 26 years of missionary work in Iraq and Yemen, Kamal transitioned to leading the digital strategies ministry for North Africa and the Middle East. It was during that time that the Lord gave him and his team a vision for Church Online, an avenue for Arab Muslims to safely worship together and follow Jesus.

Asian Access
Thilini De Visser serves on the staff of Asian Access and as the country leader for Operation Mobilization Sri Lanka. She is passionate about developing and equipping younger leaders in Asia and currently co-directs and oversees the Asian Access Young Professionals program. She sees the potential within the younger generation as an opportunity for the advancement of the kingdom of God and is committed to fostering environments of growth and development for them.
